Pochowano Mnie Wiosną Na Cmentarzu w Toronto

I Was Buried In Mount Pleasant Cemetery
1

I was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, alone and unceremoniously

Buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, when life was taken from me

Pochowano mnie wiosną na cmentarzu w Toronto, samotnie i bez ceremonii

Moje szczątki na cmentarzu toronckim, po nagłej, życiowej agonii

2

Our tree was full and green, I had to leave it

The sadness was overwhelming,

to be alone beneath it

The sun came down hot and hard, I could never sleep

To disappear was the only way I could find relief

3

When I was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, alone and unSARAHmoniously

Buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, when life was taken so suddenly

Pochowano mnie wiosną, na cmentarzu w Toronto, samotnie i bez „SARA”monii

Moje szczątki na cmentarzu toronckim, po nagłej, życiowej agonii

4

First I paid my respects to Glenn Gould

And then I visited the grave of Alexander Muir

Next to Eaton's tomb, I hung my head and cried

Looking for Joseph Mulgrew, I gave up and died

Najpierw Glennowi Gouldowi oddałem hołd, przy mogile

Potem do grobu Aleksandra Muir'a dotarłem

Obok nagrobka Eaton'a - z płaczem się pochyliłem

Szukając Josepha Mulgrew - poddałem się i umarłem

5

When I was buried...

Gdy mnie grzebano...

6

The birds sang for the flowers in bloom, spring had just begun

Recently fitted for a suit, now lying in a box

By summer, I was gone, my remains stolen from the ground

My body never recovered and I was never found

... Until now

Śpiewały ptaki, szalały kwiaty, na powitanie wiosny

Niedawno u przymiarki, teraz leżę w skrzyni

Nim przyszło lato – zniknąłem; wykradziono ziemi moje szczątki

I już ciało me się nie znalazło nigdy...

Aż do dziś...

7

I was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, alone and unceremoniously

Buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, between the monuments and trees

At the heart of the city, Amongst the statues and fountains

New life could begin, where the old path I ran came to and end

Pogrzebano mnie wiosną na cmentarzu w Toronto, bez ceregieli i świadków

Moje szczątki na cmentarzu toronckim, wśród posągów i kwiatów

W samym środku miasta - wśród pomników i kaskad - kres

Znalazły stare drogi, więc otwiera się szlak nowy, naprzód...
